From Homebound to Solo Traveler
Life Is Too Short for Someday. For years, I had dreamed of places I’d love to visit someday. I never was in a position to afford it, so it just stayed a dream. Then bladder cancer and a bad fall nearly kept me home for good. That’s when I stopped saying someday.
In 2024, after completing a year of monthly chemo treatments, I took my first trip abroad with Gulliver, my Alinker walking wheelchair. I haven’t stopped since. This page is where I keep track of the trips and concerts I’ve checked off, plus the ones still waiting for me. I share them for one reason. If I can get out there with bladder cancer and Ankylosing Spondylitis, you can go do that thing you keep putting off.
It doesn’t have to be Europe. It can be a concert across town or a day trip two hours away. Pick one thing and put a date on it.

Next up is my first cruise, from Miami to the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, and St. Thomas at the end of November 2026 on the Independence of the Seas with Royal Caribbean. Pro tip: book your cruises on Black Friday and pay on them with your tax return!
After that, who knows, because I most likely will not have that buddy pass forever and I still need to pay on my credit card debt from the last 2 years. Was it worth it? HECK YES!!!

CONCERT BUCKET LIST
My original video lists my all-time Concert Bucket List. I have been to many concerts in my lifetime, but these are the ones I thought long and hard that I want to see before I no longer can. I have crossed several off my list since then because if reasons I will not discuss here. They are my own and valid.
Anyway, since I posted my original video, I have been to a couple music festivals and concerts. I crossed off a couple more that I have yet to see but have tickets to. Thank you to Klarna for helping with that! <3
